What is Max Potential?

Max Potential is Turkey's first athlete incubator. We identify high-potential young athletes and build a personalized expert team for each one: sport director, Buddy, physiotherapist, nutritionist, sports psychologist, mental performance coach, social media and sponsorship management, wearable technology, and more. We handle the daily coordination of this entire team, leaving the athlete and their family to focus solely on their sport.

Do you charge athletes?

Accepted Answer

No. We do not charge athletes any fees, salaries, or service costs — we cover all expenses. Our investment model is based on receiving a share of athletes' future athletic and marketing revenues; the athlete's success is our success. We also do not act as agents: when an athlete needs an agent, we help them select the right person together.

Which disciplines are supported?

We currently work with 15 athletes across volleyball, tennis, taekwondo, and basketball. 87% of our athletes are female, 86% are national team players, and our average age is 17.4. Taekwondo is one of our priority areas — Turkey has over 850,000 licensed taekwondo athletes, and it is one of our strongest disciplines at the Olympics.

Who can apply?

Accepted Answer

Athletes aged 15–20 with high international potential can apply. We look for more than technical talent: a character that 'gets out of bed every morning to be better' and a supportive family structure are decisive factors for us. During the evaluation process, we contact the family before meeting the athlete, getting to know both sides.

Question 5

How are you different from club academies?

Accepted Answer

Club academies have to serve 50–100 athletes across different age groups simultaneously, which makes it budgetarily difficult to provide individualized support. We focus on a limited number of high-potential athletes and build a comprehensive, personalized team for each one. Athletes continue to work with their clubs — we serve as an additional layer of support alongside them.

What are your goals for 2028?

We aim to send at least 5 Max Potential athletes to the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics and to have at least 3 of them win medals. We plan to increase the total number of athletes we support to 50 by 2028. Some are preparing for 2028, while others are on track for the 2032 Olympics.

Do you have technology solutions for athletes?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We are developing a mobile app where athletes can set their career goals, break them down into daily steps, and track their development. We'll be sharing more details soon.
